Over the last years Tango and Buenos Aires music have made up a repertoire unknown to many. In some cases, this has been a result of poor promotion. In others, the material derives from the least expected places. And sometimes, the writers have simply not made it -yet- to the billboards.
In this section, Tangodata sets out to progressively form a representative illustration of the new lyrics that nourish the multiple forms of contemporary Tango, including some that may not be considered to be strictly orthodox tango music but, that due to their contents, do reflect an urban Rio de La Plata poetics that is undoubtedly in keeping with the Tango of the New Century.
